“Regular sauna use extends lifespan”
What the science says
A landmark Finnish cohort study found that 4–7 sauna sessions per week were associated with 40% lower cardiovascular mortality versus once per week. This is compelling observational evidence, but not a randomised trial — confounding by healthy user behaviour is possible. Mechanistic data on heat stress and cardiovascular adaptation are supportive.
